The
Nurses Hypertension Association (NHA) was founded in
March 1991 by a group of nurses working in the field of
hypertension. The NHA aims to provide an international forum for
education, communication and research development amongst nurses
taking an active interest in hypertension. The role of the association is to promote the advancement and dissemination of information concerning hypertension findings and related vascular disease. |

Mission Statement
| The NHA members consist of nurses based in primary and secondary care who specialise in hypertension and cardiovascular disease prevention. The aim of the Association is to champion good clinical practice in this area by:-
Sharing nursing expertise of all aspects blood pressure management Setting goals and benchmarking standards of care related to hypertension and cardiovascular disease prevention Disseminating good clinical practice through presentation of nursing research & audit, facilitated by the NHA annual scientific meeting held in conjunction with the British Hypertension Society Meeting Providing a forum for discussion to improve quality of care Providing specialist nursing advice as clinical experts to Advisory Boards |
